Question / Help IP camera as Media Source is not woking

Hello

I have an IP camera that I want to capture using OBS. I add a MediaSource and enter the entire rtmp://... url in the "input" field. I can then see the preview of my camera in the settings dialog, but when I close it I just get a black image.
Opening the settings of my media source shows the picture again.

Does any one have an idea of what is wrong?

Try using the VLC source. Install VLC for Mac, restart OBS, and see if you have the source option. If you do, try adding your IP Camera to that.

That helped a bit. Now I can see the picture in the input pane, but the output video gets just black when I try to switch it to the right pane.

Sounds like you clicked on the Studio Mode button. That's for advanced users. Just try to get it working in non-studio mode first (you should only see 1 preview window in OBS).
