Intermittent high GPU while using virtual camera for virtual meetings

Hi folks,

I'm very new to OBS but am unable to actually use it or experiment with it because my GPU spikes to 100% intermittently for extended periods of time while using the virtual camera. It ultimately causes other lag issues as well such as typing and dragging windows around. I have to kill OBS to get the machine back to normal. My laptop is a Thinkpad P14s with onboard and discrete NVIDIA graphics. Any suggestions would be great. I've messed around with hardware acceleration and a few other tweaks but zero change.

Just opening OBS Studio causes my GPU to jump from near idle to 33% and keeps it there. Running virtual camera lands at about 50% but spikes to 100% for extended periods causing my machine to be useless until I close OBS.

Thanks for the info. I had turned Hags off a while ago. No change. The above log file I pasted is with Hags off :( I went through all the other suggestions on that page and none made any difference unfortunately. I have since found that just having obs studio opened with a camera active causes the same issue. Don't even need the virtual camera on.
