So this might be a weird one but I'm using OBS to record Magic the Gathering games. We're not currently streaming, only recording and uploading. OBS works well as it's easy to update player names and decks etc, but there is one "problem", we have no way of easily updating life totals. As it's recording, there's no one manning the laptop doing it manually through notepad, and instead we have an iPad on the table with the players just using an app to do life totals on screen, but it's a bit obnoxious (see image).
So! What I want to know is if there's any possibility of a plugin, or api that can talk to an iPad or Android phone to update the video/overlay on OBS, as in, the players change their life totals on the phone and then OBS picks it up and updates it on the recording.
I'm not that savvy with this sort of technology so am not sure if what i'm asking for is totally out of the question.
