I have a Live Gamer Portable and I'm using it to capture my PC screen while I play games. I've been having no end of trouble on my new computer; captured footage is a mess of frozen images while the audio plays consistently, but out of sync. No OBS Studio settings have been able to fix my problems, regardless of the visual quality.
BUT~!
I have seemingly discovered a solution. Avermedia has recording software called RECentral, which is recording flawlessly. INTERESTINGLY, after having used RECentral to record something, anything, OBS Studio now works exactly as expected (I haven't tested when exactly it stops working again, but I'd guess when I turn the PC off). I could not find anybody online reporting the same issue as me, so I thought it might be helpful to bring this weird issue/possible solution to light.
If anybody reads this thread and has any idea what I did wrong in the first place, or can offer a more permanent solution, please let me know! Thank you, and thanks to everybody who has made OBS/Studio what it is today!
I've uploaded some log files; one from when OBS was not recording properly, and my most recent one, which is recording properly. This is not the first time the same actions have fixed this problem; it is a consistent issue/solution.
