Question / Help Intensity Pro 4K / SC-512N1-L Audio Capture Question

Hey guys, I've got a few quick questions. I plan on recording footage using a capture card the SC-512-N1 or the Intensity Pro 4K. I am using a Displayport monitor, now my question is.. I can't just clone my monitor to the card and get audio correct?. Would I need to split the Displayport and convert it to HDMI for the cards to get audio?

Simply put how would I be able to get audio (possibly mic audio as well) captured with either of those cards and video.

I may also use Virtual Dub at some point as well to use MAGICYUV or Lagaraith to do some recording

I'm using two GTX 980's in SLI and one Displayport monitor / 144/1080p. Also it would be recorded from a separate PC..

Somebody must have a setup like this that can help me? All I can find is info about people only using HDMI with splitters and not displayport as well
