There's a 6 year old thread in the "ideas" forum, but I'm hoping there's a workaround. Is there any way to record using Quicksync but with PCM or FLAC lossless audio? Or any other lossless format?
I ordered a laptop with an Intel 11th gen i5 and only onboard graphics, so Nvenc isn't an option like it is with my desktop. I need to screen record 4K with 4:4:4 chroma and lossless audio on two channels. The only way I've found to do that is to use FFMPEG encoding rather than simple, but it doesn't have Quicksync options. I've read that this is because OBS uses an old version of FFMPEG. Is there a way to update the version of FFMPEG in OBS and get all the video and audio encoding options?
