Bug Report Intel Quick Sync Crashing w/ OBS

Hello,

I have tried using various settings for OBS and Quick Sync. Unfortuantely, OBS will simply lock up my whole computer, and my monitors will blink on and off when starting a stream to Twich or Hitbox.tv. I've tried using various capture settings as well as different drivers. Nothing seems to fix this issue. I have attached the log file.

Excuse me but...

Why would you use QuickSync for a 720p30fps stream when you're sporting a 8600K CPU? I want to think that you know what you're doing and you have a solid reason for preffering QSync over x264 but... Indulge me, if you please! ^_^

I guess I don't understand asking my question with a question. I'm wanting to use QS so my cpu isn't impacting my gaming performance at all. I'm using a 144hz monitor, so using x264 will drop my frame rate. I also don't understand why you're pointing out the resolution and fps I was using during this particular crash. I have tried 1080p30fps, 720p60fps, 1080p60fps. I think you get my point. I've used multiple different settings and no matter what OBS crashes only when I am trying to do hardware encoding with QS. If you see something in the log that would explain the crashes then please let me know. Otherwise, I don't see the point in asking such questions.

Does anybody have an idea why OBS will not work with Quick Sync to stream? If someone even has a forum post that addresses this already, please post the link. I couldn't find any posts that showed this issue is resolved.
