Hey everyone I wanted to ask you how the Intel HD Graphics 630 QuickSync render does?
Has the quality of the recording/streaming improved a lot?
For example if I want to record 720p 60fps or 1080p 30fps high quality video, is that possible?
Does anyone have experience with it?

I wanted to get this so I could record game's on high quality:
i3 7100
RX 480 - 4Gb GDDR5
16GB DDR4 2400GHz RAM
256GB SSD
1TB HDD
B250 Motherboard

The quality of Quick Sync for Kaby Lake CPUs is great. In my opinion, the quality is very close to x264. The only issue is compression is still pretty poor compared to x264.

Results won't be as good as using x264 but the Quick Sync hardware encoder on Kaby Lake is pretty solid as far as hardware encoders go. If you're considering an AMD CPU upgrade you should probably wait for the new Ryzen chips and see how they perform.

@xxAssassin349 Video quality is a result of the amount of compression performed on the video. It doesn't make a lot of sense to say that the quality is very close to x264 but the compression is pretty poor. :P (This assumes that the same bitrate is used for both encoders. You can always compensate for poor compression with a higher bitrate.)

@Ubie, bear in mind the i3 7100 you linked while it may be the newest generation of Intel, it does only have 2 physical cores & 2 virtual cores. This will limit your performance to a degree, that being said your mileage will vary dependent upon the resources your game needs to run.

You should look around for a 4 core or higher CPU, I would personally hold off until the mass reviews from the release of Ryzen come in before buying a new CPU. The start of next months reviews will be flooding in thick and fast for you to gauge how good the chip-sets are.
