Question / Help Integrated GPU, Discrete GPU and Display Capture

Hello, so something that has come up for me is that with OBS, if I run the program using my Discrete GPU (Geforce 860m), everything is fine except for the fact that the Display Capture shows nothing but a black screen. I tried launching OBS using the Integrated card, and found that the Display Capture was working perfectly. However, if I try to record with Display capture, it won't capture the fullscreen application (the recording just showed my image backdrop while playing the game sounds).

When I did Game Capture while running on the integrated, the only thing that would get it to capture was the Multi-Adapter Compatibility, but that made my game run at 3fps. For all intents and purposes, I can easily get by with running OBS on the Discrete, and relying only on Window and Game Captures, but I was wondering if there was a way to get my Discrete to capture the desktop / have the discrete render the Display Capture. Thanks.

Because of limitations in switchable graphics laptops, you're stuck. You can't use display capture while obs is running on the discrete gpu.

Well that sucks xD. Regardless, thanks for the quick reply. Out of curiousity, is there anything I'm missing from Display capture where Game/Window can't pick up the slack?

So if we want to use display capture, we have to use integrated graphics, but if i wanna use game capture i gotta use nvidia? Xsplit does both
