Question / Help Installer Size

Whenever I go to d/l a new OBS version the Full Installer.exe is smaller then the Full Installer.ZIP ??
I would think the ZIP version would be smaller.

The installer uses LZMA compression, which is more efficient than ZIP (deflate). A comparable format would be 7z (7-zip).

I may be missing something here but wouldn't the purpose of d/l a zip file be to save time with a smaller file size and this Zip is bigger so what's the advantage?

The zip is useful when you don't want to install OBS.
For example portable mode.
