Question / Help Installation error - Failed to initialize video: unspecified error.

Hi esteemed mates,

I downloaded the OBS-Studio-0.16.g Full Installer.exe file to a flash drive and then installed it on my desktop PC running Windows 7, 32-bit.

It said it installed but when I clicked OK to run it I get the error message – “Failed to initialize video: unspecified error.

I then uninstalled the program and re-installed it but got the same error.

How can I fix this?

Chances are your computer lacks the hardware support for directx 10.1 or opengl 3.2 required by OBS.

And you tried to download an old version of obs.

Make sure all your drivers (esp. your GPU drivers) are up to date. If they are, and you ran the 17.0.0 installer, and you still get the error message, then your GPU isn't new enough to support OBS.
