Question / Help Install did work but no pics

New Member
We did install OBS new for the first time
and we tried to record
VLC during running
and
the screen during running.

OBS did create FLV files
but there is sound but no pic so we can see only black screen.

What did we do wrong.
We do use Linux xubuntu.
We did the automatic guided install.
