Question / Help Insane stuttering when obs open

As title states i get horrible rapid hitching/stuttering when OBS STUDIO is open. Neither stream or recording need to be on. If the program is just open it will cause the game to do this. I am on windows 7 pro 64bit. This is the 3rd time i have installed windows. I have removed all data drives from this system. FPS counter is around 150-190 fps on game in fullscreen mode and i tab out to OPEN obs (not even starting a stream/recording) and now fps is rapidly popping from 170s to 80 fps or so real fast. Same problem occurs if i open OBS Studio before i open game.

PC specs Corsair gold cert ax1200 , 6700k , 1080 seahawk hydro ek , samsung 850 pro 512Gb M.2 ssd , 32gb 3400mhz gskill trident ram, Asus Maximus VIII Formula Motherboard, all on a custom water loop with aquaero 6. Asus PG279Q @165hz 1440p and 2 other side monitors asus 27" and asus 24" @ 60hz 1080p (game is only played on primary monitor)

I believe i covered my end on specs and problems with this config. Plz let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks for the help.

i am having the same issue since yesterday out of nowhere this has happened. If I just open OBS (I don't even have to start stream) the gameplay is choppy as hell even tho I am showing that im getting 60fps. If I close OBS the gameplay is smooth. I have done all updates to drivers and still I get the issue.

Is there really nobody that can help us with this issue? Has anyone else ran into this problem before? I am a beginner with obs but have been using it for a while to record / stream some content.

I am also having this issue and I'm not sure why. I'm pretty sure it has only been happening since the recent update.

There's another thread that is about a very similar issue, and someone replied instructing the person to "Disable multi-adapter compatibility in game capture." I went to try this out, but it's already disabled for me.

EDIT: I tried enabling multi-adapter compatibility and that seemed to help. I don't know if this fixed my issue entirely, but I'll update when I test more extensively.

OK well i tried to change settings and now just opening obs is causing my whole pc to hang. There is a large (like 5+seconds) delay to do anything on obs including move the window. This is strange stuff. I have actually reinstalled windows 7 and also tried reinstalling obs on both installs of win 7 and it STILL does it.
