Question / Help Insane performane loss from previewing/streaming game capture

ive been streaming for about 6 months, never had any issues. Recently bought a 4th monitor(1440p 144hz for gaming) and ever since i have had much less in game performance and streaming/obs performance. game and stream is choppy. I dont know if this has anything to do with the new monitor and resolution/having 4 monitors...

2 1080p 60hz monitors
1 720p tv
1 1440p 144hz monitor(main)
rx 480 4gb GPU
ryzen 1700 @ 3.7ghz CPU
asus b350 motherboard
samsung evo 850 ssd

i forgot to mention that the weird thing is that if i am playing the game, but let's say I'm streaming just my full screen face-cam, that there doesn't seem to be a performance loss. on fallout new vegas maxed out i get around 140 fps with my facecam only up, but as soon as i swap to actually streaming gameplay it drops to around 50 or less, and it feels very choppy on stream and in game.
