I have a setup where I have a IP camera connected to my network and would like to live stream it. When I input the camera to VLC, it streams very well. In OBS, I add this as a media source and it has a lag of over a second. This lag is not acceptable in my application as I am streaming as well as outputting to the projectors in the venue.
My hardware (i7-4810MQ CPU @ 2.80GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M) is not fully utilized by the stream and because it works in VLC, this leads me to believe that it is caused by OBS. I am guessing that it is an input buffer on the media source.
I have tried every option in the Media Source menu to try and get less lag.
How would I fix this problem so that I would not have the lag in OBS?
