Question / Help Ingesting from MiniDV capture device but no audio

Hi and thanks in advance for your help.
I want to capture video and audio from an external MiniDV Camcorder connected to my mac via firewire. In OBS I can see video but no audio. In audio settings, Desktop audio does not seem to be available. Therefore, I have selected Mic/Aux 1 as my audio input source. However, I still see / hear no audio. The camcorder is producing audio which I can hear via the camcorder speaker. Can you guide me?

Hi and thanks for your response. I’ve tried I Show You without success in solving the issue. Although I have selected I Show You as the audio Input to OBS audio from the external device does not appear on the OBS audio meters.

iShowU is for desktop audio, not for external device audio. OBS cannot capture desktop audio on MacOS on its own.

I'm not sure why your device audio is not coming through. Can you provide a logfile from OBS?
