Question / Help Infinity screen- how to fix??

I downloaded the 64 bit version and tried to run it but I got an infinity window (see attached).
How do I fix this???
It is kinda cool but not how I wanted to record things.....

Why are you using display capture exactly?

You added a monitor capture source. It captures your desktop. On the desktop, there is your OBS window. So in the preview of your OBS, you see the desktop with your OBS window.
The OBS window in the preview contains the preview of the desktop with the OBS window. And so on, ad infinitum. It's all working as designed. If you start "things", the "things" will appear in the OBS window instead of the mirrored OBS. You could as well remove monitor capture and capture your things you want to record directly, for example with game capture or window capture. Or use two monitors and move OBS to a monitor you're not capturing with monitor capture.

Occasionally I view webinars for my business that are only broadcast once. I want to capture these and watch them later to review them.

I started up a music video that I just happened to have on my desktop and started Record on OBS and the same infinity windows showed up but now for the video instead of the desktop.
I will try your idea of hooking up two monitors.

If you simply minimise OBS, trust me it will work that way, for I had the same problem. Guys where do I find the Preview?
