Question / Help In need of a baseline for my recording settings!!!

I am currently using a laptop to record a game, which uses an emulator. I am just in need of a good baseline for settings so my game and recordings don't lag whenever I record with OBS. My specs are here if needed. My game felt a little choppy and it was the same in my recording, and I fell a huge increase in quality when playing without streaming .
