Imported wav-File (as a media source) not in sync - delay in "Advanced Audio properties" without effect

Hi there,

I have a scene where I imported an audio wav-file and added it as a "media source". This file shows up in the audio mixer and it starts to play when I switch to the scene. There is also a webcam in the scene showing me playing guitar to the audio file. In this way I want to produce mp4-videos showing me playing guitar to the audio backing track. Now the problem is: when the recording is done I can see myself playing guitar synchronously to the picture of the webcam, but the audio file (the obove mentioned imported media source) is not in sync! I already tried to fix it by adding some delay (ms) in the "Advanced Audio Properties -> Sync Offset". But it didn't show any effect on the audio file. The sound is always earlier than the picture. I even tried to put in 9000ms (= 9 sec.) but there was no delay of the wav-file at all.

Got any help? I'm really frustrated about it.

thanks a lot

... I want to show you a screenshot. Please have a look:

I would expect to start the Audio wav File with 5 seconds delay (in the recording) when switching to the scene. But it doesn't. Not so the Motu M4 Audio Input. The 230 ms are adapting the sound to the picture of the Logitech C925e webcam - and it works perfectly
So why does the 5000 ms sync offset not affect the delay of the Audio wav File (=media source)?
