Image quality decrease in OBS preview?

I noticed slight image quality decrease when the image is added as Image Source in OBS, anybody has idea why? Attached the screen shot, as you can see there are two same images, the one on the left is opened in windows Photos app, and the one on the right is how the same image looks like in OBS preview when added as Image source, the right one is not as sharp as the left and the color is also not as good as the left... (try download the image and open it locally, the difference will be easier to see, looks like when the attachment image is opened directly from the post it is somehow enlarged, which makes the left one also a little blurry.. also BTW I am using a 4k monitor, not sure if this is just a "visual" thing?)

Quick things to check: Make sure the image is rendering at the original resolution (select the image and press Ctrl+R to reset any transforms). Make sure your preview is set to canvas scaling. Make sure your base resolution matches your screen resolution.

A log would be needed for further checks.

Thank you, that helped to clarify. I changed preview to canvas scaling and changed base resolution to 4k (= monitor resolution), the image looks same now. So it looks like this is just a "local" visual thing? i.e. whether or not changing preview to canvas scaling, or whether the base resolution is 4k or 2k, it doesn't impact the output video quality which is 1080p?
