Question / Help iMac requirements & best capture card?

Hi,

I want to know if my iMac meets the OBS requirements. I own a 27 inch iMac Intel i5 (first gen) with 16GB RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024MB Videocard.

I also have an Elgato HD and I have been reading that the Elgato products are not really compatible with OBS Multiplatform. I want to capture PS4 gameplay and stream through Twitch.

Will my iMac stream my PS4 gameplay at 720P/30fps, with overlays and face cam?
What capture card do you recommend for capturing PS4 gameplay with my iMac and OBS Mlp?

Thank you for your help.

Does your have Thunderbolt?

If yes Blackmagic Design Intensity can help.

720p60fps is no problem. But you should use a HDMI splitter, cause the unit can't handle coded signals. The signal of the PS4 is coded.

HDMI splitter for audio to come thru?
I'm trying to do the same on XB1 thru the iMac.
the ps4 has an option to turn hdcp protection off, but i would still recommend a splitter because the blackmagic devices add a slight delay before it reaches your monitor.

Right now I've got the Blackmagic HDMI in and out, but using an RCA for audio out. Should I not?
