Im so confused

Hi

I really am confused and it should be simple, im capturing a window which is fine but for some reason it does not use all of the OBS window

if you look at the pic you can see my window capture does not fill the available window there is space to fill on the right and underneath

Really hope im making sense ?

I'm a newbie...so take that into account
I've come across similar (a picture) when the resolution was less than the OBS canvas I'm working with, especially if I do a Transform and fit screen. If I understand your screen capture image, the ruler on the right side is the right-most edge of the Window, right? IF yes, either reset Transform and don't do fit, Hold ALT key down, select the right red square (and then bottom as well) and drag it to edge of actual windows. Now re-size/frame as desired
