Help me be great. I just want to play my games with rock solid frames while streaming. That's all.

When I play Overwatch without having OBS open I get rock solid 95fps on epic settings without any issues.

As soon as I open OBS studio my FPS goes haywire. It jumps from a high of 70 to a crawl of 39 FPS sporadically.

These are my current OBS settings Encoder is x264
bitrate is 3500
CPU usage preset is superfast
base canvas 1920x1080
output scaled 1920x1080
common FPS value 60
rescaled output 1280x720

Need a logfile from after you have stopped streaming/recording as it will let those who can lend a hand more detail on how your CPU/GPU is encoding.

My initial thoughts are to suggest capping your fps at 60, change your OBS Output setting to 60 and do a recording/stream session. Once you have finished your recording/stream session then upload the logfile. Make sure to stop recording/streaming before you upload the logfile otherwise it will be incomplete like the one you have uploaded.

I'm sorry Cgadgetz, I'm not seeing a complete logfile that you have uploaded, though I don't stream at all so it might be a case of an issue with streaming? For reference I have posted below a logfile of mine where it shows particular lines which contain much needed information for troubleshooting:
https://gist.github.com/d68c97e7fc3bc786da8523e8fb4cf9ef

The particular lines are:
12:57:30.279: Output 'adv_file_output': Total encoded frames: 115810
12:57:30.279: Output 'adv_file_output': Total drawn frames: 115815

If there is a CPU limitation it will have encoder frames being dropped.
If there is a GPU limitation it will have rendering (Drawn) frames being dropped.

Please post a link to a clean log file. To make a clean log file, first restart OBS, then start your stream/recording for ~30 seconds and stop it again. When you're done select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.
