Question / Help I'm having some problems using OBS...

Ubuntu 15.04.

First, I'm unable to get OBS capturing sound from the computer. The microphone sound works perfectly, but I can't get any response from the computer sound.

Also I have a small question. How does the Encoder Preset affects the recording/streaming?

Second, the quality is really bad. I tried tweaking the settings, but I'm unable to get it better than this video.

The encoder preset works like this: ultrafast = uses the least amount of CPU, looks the worst, slow = uses extreme amounts of CPU, looks best. "veryfast" is the most balanced preset in terms of quality/CPU tradeoff.

As for the audio, I admit I don't know much about the Linux side. You're sure you've selected the audio device that your desktop is outputting to as the device to be captured?

Thanks for explain me how the encoder preset works. About the audio, I found the problem. Seems like my headset was configured as analog, when it's digital, making it able to output the sound directly to the headset but unable to be detected by any program. That was my fault and OBS don't have nothing to do with it. I already changed the config and it's working now perfectly.
