Question / Help Ideal settings for local recording on laptop (Unturned)

Hi,

I'm complete beginner both with gameplay recording and OBS. For the last two weeks I've been looking through many guides, forum threads as well as experimentating with OBS and game (mostly Unturned) settings myself in order to achieve either best quality, most stable FPS, minimum CPU load etc. Results so far are pretty decent - I've been able to record in 1080p60 (but at the moment I'm working with 720p30), or keep on considerably high in-game FPS (didn't use V-Sync though). I've tried all three encoders OBS allows me to use depending on my hardware (x264, NVENC, QuickSync, currently the last one), played both in fullscreen/windowed mode, pushing Unturned to highest graphic settings (which is not so great on FPS, and choosing forward rendering with MSAA causes OBS preview & recording to freeze). I solved all of the issues such as black screen, manually updated graphic card drivers, got Game Capture to work etc. Like I wrote above, the results are pretty decent, but I still want to achieve better and more optimal setting. Of course with my hardware it will always be far from perfect. Also, further experimentation would probably take a long time, thus I wanted to ask for advices and opinions of more experienced users.

Here are my specs:

ASUS K555L (X555LN)
Win 10 64-bit
Intel Core i7-4510U @ 2.00GHz (4CPUs) ~2.6GHz
8GB RAM
DirectX12
Intel HD Graphics 4400
NVidia GeForce 840m
250GB SSD (I use the default 750GB HDD as external)

If needed, I can provide more information or post some logs.

Eventually I want to ask what would be good setting for streaming, My download speed is 91.58 Mb/s and upload 10.84 Mb/s. I expect mainly the upload speed to improve after changing a router, but for now let's work with what I have.
