Question / Help I want to start Streaming

I tried streaming to youtube and I always get 360p nothing better. But when I record and dont upload it is 720p or 1080p. I just want to stream 720p 30-60 fps. I really don't know much about OBS. Please help me If you can, Kaeden.

There’s a few things you need to check first. I’m not a guru when it comes to logs but here was my experience.

1. YouTube itself has great set up tutorials to watch and try a few things out.
2. Check under streaming tab to see what your output is selected to.
3. If your internet upload speed isn’t very good , 720p might be difficult
4. Check your YouTube account and see what your settings are for live streaming. It may have defaulted to that resolution.
5. Try the set up wizard in OBS to help get you started. When you trouble shoot, it takes time and patience. I had so many audio issues but after a week of tweaking it finally worked.
