Question / Help I want mp4, how do I enable it

Hi everyone,

I just started with OBS 0.4.2 mac, and I have noticed the videos I have recorded are in .flv format and since im on mac I can't open those file types.
So I was wondering, is there a way that I can make OBS 0.4.2 use .mp4 format?

OBS Mac currently does not support outputting wrappers other than FLV, but you can quickly convert a file MP4 using Remux (free, available at http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/35968/remux ). Download and launch it, drag the file you want onto the window, select "mp4" from the dropdown, and hit Go; and MP4 will be created with no quality loss.

Remux seems to be having availability problems, but Handbrake can also do the job.

Does Handbrake remux things, though? It can re-encode, but that will degrade quality.

I have tried a couple of months before, but it was not working with OBS Mac.

Handbrake cannot stream-copy video (will always be encoded), only audio can be taken from source.
