Post a log after you stopped your recording (previous log-file if you restarted OBS application or find it manually by time and date).

I have exactly the same problem since the update today to version 30.1.1 The video sometimes only has 1 frame in 10 seconds, then the next frame appears or the video runs again for a few seconds and then the next freeze. My log hangs on...
I have not changed anything, just installed the update. A reboot was not fixing the problem.

I also completely reinstalled the new version with new settings, but that didn't make any difference. My temporary fix is a fallback to version 30.0.1 - installed and running again as usual, no problems, no lags. For others who also have the problem maybe a useful temporary fix.

Edit: Hmmm, log doesn't show any problems during recording. Maybe playback is choppy, and recorded file "2024-03-24 21-31-47.mp4" is OK? How do you check if recording has issues (what media player)? I was wrong, see other messages below

@drekunia because of the crash - I think you have completely different problem, so you need to make new thread on this forum, your own thread (and it is better if you mention in the thread's name that your OBS v30.1.1 crashes).

The problem was also that the recorded videos were also incredibly small in themselves. Instead of around 40GB, I suddenly had 400 MB. Apparently they only contained audio and a picture every 10-20 seconds. I can also agree with the previous poster (drekunia), I had problems stopping the video recording.
Now with the previous version (30.0.1) it runs again as usual and I have no problems.

yes, the playback is choppy, and the recorded sound is crackling and out of sync, i play it on VLC.

You have massive encoder & audio lag. Encoding settings look OK. I would remove & test without the Focusrite see if it improves. If not, check for a new graphics driver.

YW! Audio may need some attention but see how it goes with the monitors dialed back & SE out of the way. Most if not all of that rendering lag should be gone. Post the log when you're done testing.

Yes, you described the problem. I tried it again with different audio sources but no change. Now i found out, its the encoder... AMD H264 as encoder of the video lags and at the beginning a lot of frames are missing and if time passing by i got into this 1frame each 10 seconds thing. I changed the encoder to AMD HEVC and anything running fine.
If i switch back to the old verison 30.0.1 the old Encoder is working fine like before.
OBS 30.1.1 + AMD H264 = Problems
OBS 30.0.1 + AMD H264 = No Problems
OBS 30.1.1 + AMD HEVC = No Problems
OBS 30.0.1 + AMD HEVC = No Problems

Yes, it's nice that I've found out what the problem is, but it's not something I can actively fix. Maybe one of the next programme versions will fix it, until then I'm working with OBS 30.0.2, everything works as usual.
I also noticed that in the old version, with the same encoder and the same settings, the game and the video run more smoothly. In version 30.0.1 there are often small stutters.
