I had a total smooth brain moment and shut my pc down while I was still recording, I record in MKV. Is there anyway I can get that file back? I'm new to OBS so help is definitely appreciated
The file is still there. It's truncated, but it's there, so you can use it. Fortunately, you saved as mkv, so it's usable even without finalizing. A truncated mp4 file would be lost completely, but mkv is usable. What's the issue with it?
