Ok first off this is my first time using the obs software I just downloaded it today actually. Just to do simple how to videos for youtube and my blog. And I don't need anything fancy smancy. I just need something that can record the screen and my mic.

So far the recording part works for me its just when I hit stop recording it takes a long time to finish even if the video is under 5 minutes or even just 3 minutes long. How do I fix it so the videos finish quicker.

The quality is really good but it dose not need to be. I just am going to make simple videos on my laptop. Here's what I have.

Screen Size 11.6 inches
Max Screen Resolution 1366x768 pixels
Processor 2.16 GHz Intel Celeron
RAM 2 GB DDR3L SDRAM
Hard Drive 32 GB SSD
Graphics Coprocessor Intel HD Graphics
Chipset Brand intel
Card Description integrated
Wireless Type 802.11bgn
Number of USB 2.0 Ports 1
Number of USB 3.0 Ports 1
Average Battery Life (in hours) 8.25 hours

I'm pretty much using it to capture the screen and use mic.

I would like some advice on how to make the file size smaller and how to tinker with the settings so it will stop recording faster when I hit the stop recording button.

Any advice at all please like I said I'm new to this program and screen capturing in general. I am just doing basic videos.

Ok here's whats going on. I just made a quick little tutorial video. And it shows its only 36.5 MB and its flv. But it takes a few minutes to stop recording. I hit stop recording and it shows "Encoding overloaded! Consider turning down video settings or using a faster encoding preset." Ok I'm stumped and still new to this and just want to get a few tutorials done. Please help.

Plus I'm using 0.16.5 I hope all this helps.

I'm using scene one and display capture. Please all the settings are as is. I never tinkered with anything yet. Because I don't know what to change.
