I just lost an hour of work!!! Is there any way to recover?!?

So, I recorded a video about 40 minutes long. When I went to “Show Recordings” to look at it it was only 6 minutes long. I was annoyed, but at that time it wasn’t a big deal. I looked up some things on the forums, made some settings changes. Now today, I had made a video that i was actually really proud of. It was about 50 minutes long. I show recordings, hoping that obs worked. Nope. Nine minutes. I am pissed off. Is there any possible way to recover the lost footage and how can I prevent this from happening again?

No possible way to recover, and you need to SEVERELY cut back on your system load or get a higher end computer to prevent the problem from happening again.
