Hello, I hate updates. I hate updates. Being using your software since the beginning of time. every time you push an update I lose audio. then its always a nightmare to remember or to fix. Only two things should ALWAYS WORK imho. Audio and Display out of the box but it never does after updates?

I know I cant complain since I only use it for screen recordings only and its free but after 100K project management hours under my belt spending half a day fixing config that have already been fixed 10 or more times is well ... UGH.

after all these years this should NEVER be an issue.

Why after every update I need to go through this nightmare just bc of no audio.

if you dont eat your meat you dont get any pudding..

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Windows feature edition updates frequently invalidate the audio device IDs used by OBS. It's not really something that can cleanly be handled automatically.

Updates of OBS won't break in the same way.

guess I need to post this on my site called the blame game.. After 100K hours and 25 years i disagree. there is nothing that cannot be done on the internet or in any applications with SKILLED talent. Since your application is dependent on a third party OS tells me you need to re write the entire OBS. the price for trying to offer all to everyone. when audio and Video should be the meat and potatoes and obviously stand alone functions of your app not dependent on any OS. But hey again its FREE. You get what you pay for.. ugh!
