i got feed back on monitor only. can i fix that? let me say i cannot sidechain my audio due to feeback causes by the mic when it is turned on.

there is something wrong with obs studio. you will get feed back regardless of what you unless you turn off mic. monitor only equals feedback. monitor and output equals feedback. i am sure obs team can fix that. you should not have to hear your voice if you monitor only. i want to listen to my media and sidechain it. to sidechain the audio, the mic has to be on. when on, the mic will give feedback.

You have speakers on and mic on? then OF COURSE you'll get feedback.
Unlike some other consumer software that has patented/proprietary noise cancelling filters applied, OBS Studio does NOT include such (the whole FOSS thing). The requirement with OBS Studio is on you to either add your own noise cancelling, or avoid the feedback look in the first place
