Question / Help I FOUND IT BOYS! INGAME STUTTER WHEN OBS IS OPEN (for nvidia cards)

I never post in forums but i thought i be nice and help some people out;
whenever i obs open my game would stutter but frame rates would stay the same. I spent hours looking through forums but all they said was turn encoder and bitrate down but i knew my system could handle what i was doing, anyway these steps helped ME get my game back to normal (smooth)

1. goto NIVIDIA control panel
2. goto programs settings under manage 3d settings
3. in vertical sync turn on adaptive (half refresh rate)
4. make sure frame rate is uncapped in game

v-sync has a weird interaction with obs

Does using half refresh rate give you 30fps if say you're on a 60hz monitor?

im not sure why you mess with vsync in nv panel at all. leave it at default "use 3d app settings" and enable it only in game
