Not sure how to get a developers attention on this, I bet it's a trivial fix for someone who knows that code.
TL;DR: The Sync Offset in Advanced Audio Settings is not functional in a freshly launched OBS. It does not start to do it's job until you open the Advanced Audio Settings and touch the UI control. (Sometimes, it spontaneously kicks in, but it is totally not functional in a freshly launched OBS).
100% reproducible for me. To repro:
- Set some sync offset to delay your audio, do a test recording, see audio delay is working.
- Close OBS, start it again, do a test recording. Audio is no longer delayed.
- Open the Advanced Audio Settings and touch the UI control for the sync offset
- Make a new recording. Audio is now delayed as expected.
Am I the only one seeing this? 100% repro for me.
I logged a github issue for it here: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/5356
