I don't see sources>display, sources looks different in pops linux compared to debian

I need to record just the window that's opened,

In source> plus button, i see:
browser
screen capture (pipewire)
screen capture xshm
video capture device v4l2
window capture pipewire
window capture xcomposite

Which of the above do i pick?
Do i create new or add existing?
What is pipewire xcomposite? They do not appear in debian version as options.

I know how to do it in debian but in pops linux the sources appear different, so to the overall process after that sources plus button selection.

My specs:
OBS 28.1.2 linux
Pops linux operating system 21.10

Different systems have different methods available, and OBS knows that. It doesn't show you what it knows is not going to work.

I don't recall similar names in debian version. Xcomposite is a composite of what? As for Pipewire it sounds like a surfing term, defintely not similar to anything on debian version.

You're overthinking it. You have several options; pick one that works and move on.

The names refer to what's happening under the hood. If you don't live in that world, you can mentally rename them A, B, etc.

- then window capture xcomposite
- then share then pick from window list, which I did but screen in obs is still black
