Use a Window Capture to record the launcher/out-of-game menus.
Use a Game Capture to record the game.
You can place these in separate scenes and use the Automatic Scene Switcher from the Tools menu in OBS to automatically change to the scene with the Game Capture in it when the in-game client loads up, then switch back to the one with the Window Capture when it exits.
