Question / Help I don't get a file after recording

Hello, I recently picked up using OBS and every time I try to record it goes fine, the hot keys work and it says it is recording. However, after I do hit the hotkey or the button to stop recording, I never get a video file. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? I'm at a loss right now. I had my sources and my scenes fine but I just never get a video file.

Yes, but every file I click on shows me 7 seconds of black screen.
Is there any way to fix this?

Use a program like VLC or MPC-HC to play the file.
