Question / Help i changed the video resolution and now game capture won't work

first i was kinda messing around with the resolution, then i couldn't set it back to fit the screen without having to enter the res in myself and eventually lining it up right. i got all the overlay to line up right but the game capture was just not fitting the screen even after clicking "fit to screen" & what not, so i deleted it and now when i try to re add it i get a black screen and a weird snap in snap out effect from the game capture almost as if it's not working with the resolution i've set or something. i have the black screen problem but only after i changed the resolution, res is set to 1570x850. is there a way to reset the resolution i had originally? if so, how? i'm super new to streaming and hoping i'm just making a silly mistake, someone point me in the right direction please and thank you:)

To get a fresh start with all mis-configurations reset, remove all your scenes and sources. Then create a new profile with Profile->new, which is created with all settings to the OBS defaults.
