So I can record multiple audio tracks by setting my desktop audio to track 1, my mic to track 2, and both of them to track 3. That works perfectly.
What I can't do is set both of them to track 1, my mic to track 2, and desktop audio to track 3. When I do that, I should get the same outcome (in a different order) but instead, I get three tracks. Two of them record both my mic and desktop, and the third is silence. What's up with that?
The reason I would prefer to do it this way instead of the first way that works is because when I'm using VLC to play my videos to check the quality, it defaults to track 1 so I have to manually set it to track 3 every single time or my mic is muted. So I was hoping to be able to record both on track 1, so VLC would play track 1 and I'd be able to hear everything while still having the ability to separate track 2 and 3 for editing.
Thanks.
