I can't pause my recording whenever I record. Is this normal?

I have been trying to find ways, but whatever I do, OBS will not show a pause button. Is this something I should be worried about, or am I just worrying for nothing?

You've got your recording encoder set to same as stream.
Pausing is disabled by this.
