Question / Help I can't get Mic audio and desktop audio to stream at the same time!

I'm trying to stream ps4 remote play to twitch from my Mac. I used midi to create a multi output device to hear the game audio in my headset. I am also using ishowu audio capture to get the desktop audio. However whatever I choose as my input will be what can be heard on twitch. You either hear my Mic or you hear the gameplay. I feel like I've messed around with every conceivable audio setting and cannot figure out a solution. I'm not super tech savvy but I also used midi to make a aggregate device with ishowu and my Mic but no luck.
I have yet to find a solution online. Please help!

Add your iShowU device and your microphone as separate sources in your scene.

In Advanced Audio settings (mixer) make sure both of those audio devices are selected to appear on the audio track being used for streaming in your Output settings.

Thanks for the reply! I have my Mic and ishowu both as separate audio captures in obs. They're both set as input audio capture though because nothing shows up when I try to put in an output audio capture. Whatever I have set as my computer audio input is what is heard on stream and when I have ishowu set obs shows audio movement for both ishowu and my Mic but the audio both look the same as if my Mic is the same as the game audio. My Mic is attached to my headset idk if that makes a difference.

Without a logfile and/or screenshots of your setup it's hard to diagnose further. Sometimes after changing audio devices you should restart OBS, otherwise it can happen that the VU meters for audio sources are incorrect-- you'll see one device mirroring another source by mistake.

If you have a working mic that OBS sees and you add that as an input source, you should absolutely see the VU meter for that source react to your voice when you speak.

Hello. So I seem to have a similar problem. Hopefully my diagram helps. Can't seem to figure how to use my xlr Audio Technica AT2020 in OBS. I have tried different settings with sound in system settings and I am assuming that the mic I want to select is soundflower 2ch but it doesn't seem to pick up the microphone.

In that configuration your input would be "line in". But that is not a multichannel input, so unless your Yamaha is sending a single stereo signal to the MBP, you might not be hearing it there.

Soundflower is a virtual input, used for sending desktop sound from the Mac to OBS. You're trying to capture from a console, so that really isn't relevant (except for things like alert sounds, if you're doing that kind of thing).
