Question / Help I can only see part of the screen in the recording

I have just set OBS up this afternoon and I can't seem to get back to one image. I saw a post that suggested minimising OBS, but I am not sure how I do that - can anyone please help? This is what I see...

Whilst I haven't actually got rid of the multiple screens, I can see how to make the recordings, but I now find that I can only see part of the screen on the recording. Is this something to do with the settings? My Mac 'about' section says the following...iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015). I would be grateful for help. Thank you E
 
the screen shot below is the screen on my computer as I record, and the image below it is the recording. I have recorded on a MP4 file if that makes a difference

If it's what I think it is,
Click on the display capture and than click on the actual image (in the part actually showing what you are recording). If it's registered that you've clicked on it, it should make a red border around the image. From there You should be able to either drag the image across the screen and center it,click on one of the red lines and use that to center it or be able to right click on it (Which brings up a menu) click on transform and click stretch to screen or fit on screen (One of the two)

If this is what I think it is this should work, although we may be talking about two different things lol.

did not work for me... my game is in fullscreen in 720p resolution and obs just capture a part of the screen... if i change the game to 1080p resolution, it captures the whole screen but it stays bad in fps... if the game is in windowed or borderless mode, it stays great but i wanna play in fullscreen... HELP PLEAAASSEEEE
 
Not sure, if yu are still intersated in this software. Just in case if you are, I think that I have a solution.
I had the exact same problem.
Select menu Edit > Transform > Fit to screen.
It had fixed the problem for me.

Thanks! That worked! I have been searching for an answer for a long time.
 
If anyone is still having issues there is another way to fix the image.
Right Click your Source -> Click "Resize Output (source size)" -> Click Yes on the popup menu.
