I am doing a live stream once a week. Things were always a bit jerky in places, but it added to the vibe. The audio sounds great too and its a music stream, so all good. However the last 2 times I have done it the dropped frames ghave been awful. 1 frozen image every 5 seconds at some points. I am downscaling the stream from 1080 to 720 in the stream settings, not video. Bitrate 2500. It is quite busy with 5 cams and some cheesy Chroma Key effects but the Mac seems happy with encoding the video and there is no lag in the moniitor, it seems to just be on the streaming service. I am connected to Castr. I have tried looking at the stream direct to Facebook live just to see if that makes a difference and it doesn't seem to be any different. I managed to restart the stream at 540 with 1500 bitrate last week, and that seemed to work. But this week, even that didn't work. The only thing I have changed is that I am now hard wired to the router. Speedcheck is giving me consistently over 250mbps upload whereas before I was on wifi getting 50mbps because I am not that near the router. Surely I can stream at 720? I have attached 1 of the log files, which I think is the main stream from Saturday night. Love some advice although I appereciate that it may not be an OBS problem. Cheers.
