Hello,
Just getting started with OBS and setting up a live streaming box to Zoom. Pretty impressed so far!!
Currently testing with a HP Webcam HD-2200. (max: res 1280x720). If I leave the config at "Device Default" everything works perfectly in my scene/source using that device. It activates & deactivates properly, and I can shutdown/restart OBS and the computer and everything works as expected.
However, the default resolution is only: 640x480. So, if I change the res to 1280x720 it seems to only activate once, and after that it will not activate. (ie: show any video, even though the led on the webcam does come on). Restarting OBS and the computer makes no difference. The only way I found to successfully activate it was by unplugging/plugging the webcam USB cable.
I know the webcam works at that res, 'cuz it worked properly once at the res, and it also works OK in this computer with Zoom.
So, I dup'ed this again with a simple scenario to generate a clean fresh log file (see attached).
Sequence:
- start OBS (with webcam configured with "Device Default") (webcam
- do a few transitions to prove it's working at the lower res.
- open the source settings; deactivate, modify the webcam config to 1280x720; re-activate
- no video.
The log shows lots of "Error decoding video" errors as in the sample below, and in the attached log.
Any thoughts?
