Question / Help How to uninstall a Plugin and Reinstall?

Hi I'm having a problem with the Virtual Cam plugin... it doesn't work at all because I installed it incorrectly.

When I installed it, I changed the destination to create a new folder (obsplugins) not knowing that the destination folder should have been the standard obs folder in program files.

Then I went in and installed it manually via the zip files... but it still isn't working.

Each time I try to use the installer, unfortunately it keeps re-creating that new obsplugins folder I specified the first time... and there is no way to go back and re-specify to use the original obs folder it was designed for.

Can you please help me?

I am really in need of direction here.

Thank you.

When you install again, the installer won't provide you with a path to choose. It therefore installs right back into the last bad location again.

Go to Windows Settings | Apps and uninstall the plugin the right way.

Then, go and install again
- If it shows you a dialog box that asks you where to install. install in the default location (obs-studio)
- If it doesn't show you a dialog box, you are better off backing up your files and reinstalling Windows than wasting your time

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was able to use another virtual source (NDI tools) so I'm just going to forget this nightmare ever happened unless it somehow comes back to bite me in the ass lol.

QUESTION.... will this corrupt the destination file for all future OBS plug in installs, or is it only for that particular one?

Thank you.
