How to stream in Steam using OBS Studio?

If you mean Steam broadcast: this is an internal function of the Steam client. OBS cannot be used.

It is possible to stream on Steam using OBS. koala is incorrect.

• You MUST join this official group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/storebroadcastbeta
• Use this page to get an upload server URL and Upload Token: https://steamcommunity.com/broadcast/upload/
• In OBS settings -> Output:
  • Output Mode: Advanced
  • Streaming -> Encoder: one of the 264 ones (I use x264)
  • Streaming -> Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds
  • Audio -> Audio Bitrate: 128 (kbps)
• In OBS settings -> Stream:
  • Stream Type: Custom Streaming Server
  • URL: the upload server URL from Steam, above (rtmp://..........)
  • Stream key: the Upload Token from Steam, above (steam_..........)
