How to Stream Elgato on OBS

want to know how to stream elgato on OBS for mac? Well no problem I can help you out with that seeing that is what I do.
Step one: Go to Elgato Custom service send them a message requesting for EyeTv3 free download tell them you have purchased the elgato and give them viable proof of your purchase or you won't get the Key for the EyeTv download for free (EyeTv is expensive but free to elgato owners)
Step Two: (first step may take up to 48 hours) Download EyeTv install it under the Game Capture card.
Step Three: Go into OBS right click in the sources click add-> syphon then in syphon click Launch Syphon Inject, scroll down click EyeTv and vola Elgato in OBS

NOTE: only works for Game Capture HD not the new Game Capture Elgato complain to elgato about that

Now to add your elgato sound into your stream do this
Go into EyeTV in the top bar tab click audio-> audio source->soundflower 2ch
go into OBS go into settings audio->desktop audio device to soundflower 2ch

HOPE THIS HELPS :D

Hey!

I'm curious to find out more about this setup as I've tried it myself. What gets me every time is syncing my commentary audio with EyeTV. As far as I know, there's no way to do so. Is this setup purely for game audio only streams?

Nevertheless, thanks for bringing this setup to my attention once again (and the attention of others). I think that there might be potential, but the lack of commentary option is much needed.

Thanks again!

you can give commentary but because elgato has delay it might be a bit off. Eventually OBS probably will have the ability to delay commentary and webcam to sync up till then it's better than nothing

Ah, that's what I thought.

Commentary being late is a drawback when streaming, especially since your reaction will be off to what's happening on screen. You could use Window Capture in the meantime to capture the actual Elgato Game Capture software in OBS. You then have to play around with the transformation so that only the preview screen shows and not all of the other features in the software screen.

Here's the setup that I use - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO0zrNzDhVE

Nevertheless, thanks again!
