Question / Help How to stop fade in/out of audio in scene transition

Hi. Is there a way to stop the fade in and fade out effect on audio during scene transitions? Like is there a way to just have the audio continue through the transition without fading, and for the audio on the new scene to begin without fade in as the transition starts?

It used to be that way prior to one of the most recent OBS updates, I'd love to be able to roll that part back.

Preferably I'd like for the audio to continue until it has finished playing even once the scene it's in has transitioned to the new scene but if I could stop the fade in/out that would be fine.

I've found the solution to this, and will be leaving this up with the solution in case anyone else is googling this with no luck like I was.

If you add the same media element to the scene you're transitioning to, it will continue to play the audio from the media until completion instead of fading or cutting off. But be sure to add it as an existing media source, not making a new one.
