How to stop a video/movie recording automatically at OBS

Hi there,
I'm new using OBS and I do have a question maybe somebody can kindly help me. I will start using using OBS for the purpose of recording VHS and DVD's movies maybe to loaded up to my youtube channel and I still can not figure out how to command or tell OBS when to stop my VHS/DVD recording stop without keep recording a blank (dark) after actual movie finished, I don't want to be watching the entire movie recording until is nearly finish and than hit stop, what I wish is to set/start the movie recording but set up the stop when actually movie finished without me checking it. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

DVD: You should not use OBS Studio to "record" a DVD, because this degrades quality. DVD is digital, so you should just copy ("rip") the movie data from the DVD. There are specialized apps for this.

VHS: There is no detection of a movie end from VHS. Do record the whole VHS in one big movie file, then use a postprocessing tool ("video editor") to cut individual scenes/movies from the one big file, as well as strip black intros/outtros.
